Concept behind the Urban Classes
You can choose which path you want to take, which tool you want to use, how far and how intensively you want to practice it. Or, you can also consult the teacher to help you with your choices. It's entirely up to you - just take the first step on your personal path.
The practice is based on the Three Kernel System, developed by Doka Sensei to support urban practitioners.

Hinotori is a small Zendo and only accepts 2-5 students per session. Pre-registration/ cancellation is therefore mandatory. Please, arrive no later than 10 min before the beginning of class. 5 minutes before the start, the Zendo door is closed. If you are visiting Hinotori Zendo for the first time or have no experience with practice, please contact the teacher for further instructions.
Zendo is not a place for casual gathering, and even for urban practitioners, the basic rules of the spiritual space should be followed: respect, silence, no strong perfume, comfortable clothes, and clean socks for tatami.
This practice is aimed at everyone who wants more orientation in overcoming stress or who wish more clarity and focus in everyday life.
For those who want to gain a deeper understanding of the causes and consequences of suffering, it may be a better choice to participate in the "Training Student" practice .
The recommended tuition fees are based on the principles of Dana practice. If you can donate more, this will be greatly appreciated as Zendo cannot work without your contribution. However, if you cannot pay the suggested amount, contact Zendo to find a solution. Money should never be an obstacle to your practice.
