"At a solstice you have to break your patterns. You are here to go through certain changes. And you cannot live intellectually all your life. You have to live by the power of your soul. " Yogi Bhajan
Here we are again at the Summer Solstice. We have entered the longest day and the shortest night of the year. Officially, summer has just begun, but as the light reaches its climax, so this is also the moment when the sun’s power begins to wane. It is like a whisper that says that the Dark is returning - from now on the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting longer, reminding us that life slips away day by day.
The summer solstice is a turning point at which we can stop for a moment to look back on our own journey. We can see the fruits of our past year, take note where we are and in which direction do we head on. We can question if what we want to be and what we actually are is reconciled.
This is the time to look at the wider scope of life and focus on what we want to nurture and develop in ourselves during the coming months. We can use opportunity to reconnect with our own path, cultivating right action and aligning with our nature.
The seeds of spring have been planted, we've worked on them all spring and now, it's time to let nature take it's course. Have a blessed summer solstice
