The purpose of introspection is not to recall memorised events or to analyse real and imaginary situations, but to observe the Self until we forget the Self. Through this we see the mind as it is, and the worship of the mind created reality dissolves, making space for appearance of a true reality that has always been present beneath the layers of mental formations. At this moment we realise that nothing in life is problematic and that everything is as it is, which is why our life, through this realisation, finally becomes full and enjoyable.
